Bob was born in Surrey, British Columbia, on June 18, 1964. He was drafted by the Minnesota North Stars in 1982, traded to Washington with Dino Ciccarelli for Mike Gartner and Larry Murphy in 1989. Bob was then traded to Toronto by Washington with Peter Zezel for Al Iafrate on January 16, 1991 and signed by Detroit as a free agent on August 5, 1994. Last season Bob was plus or even in 42 of 58 games. In his career, Bob made four Conference Finals trips and appeared in one Stanley Cup Final with Detroit in 1995. He played for Billings, Nanevemo, and Lethbridge in the Western Hockey League, and was a division All-Star in 1983-84.
